Maui Butter pancakes

INGREDIENTS

    • 1 ½ cups (195g) all-purpose flour,
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 tablespoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon of table salt,
    • 2 25g Sachet of Maui pure New Zealand whole milk powder
    • 1 cup of water
    • 1 large egg
    • 5 tablespoons (70g) unsalted butter
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    Warm syrup, butter, or Maui Chocolate Ganache.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl or liquid measuring cup, pour 1 cup of hot water. Then, add the 25g sachet of Maui Pure New Zealand whole milk powder into the hot water and mix well. Add the Butter and melt for 1 ½ to 2 minutes in the microwave.
  2. In a separate medium sized bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Then in the first bowl, whisk together the egg, and vanilla extract into the melted milk and butter.
  4. Create a well in the middle of your dry ingredients. Pour in the milk mixture and stir gently with a fork until the flour is mixed and starts to bubble.
  5. Place a frying pan over medium heat. Brush the pan with melted butter or oil for frying.
  6. Scoop the batter into a 1/4-cup measuring cup and pour onto the pan to make pancakes.
  7. After 1-2 minutes, flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until lightly browned and cooked in the middle.
  8. Serve immediately
